Position Overview:
We are looking for a versatile Mobile Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for building high-quality features in Flutter while also taking a lead role in developing and maintaining our Native Android (Kotlin) application and Flutter plugins.
The ideal candidate is someone who feels equally at home writing Dart widgets and native Kotlin services, ensuring a seamless experience across all our mobile projects.
Job Specification:
Educational Level: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience Required: 3 years and above
Key Responsibilities:
- Dual-Stack Development: Actively involve yourself in the development of new features and UI components for both our Android Native and Flutter applications.
- Bridge Implementation: Build and optimize Method Channels and Event Channels to allow Flutter apps to communicate efficiently with native Android features.
- Native Android Ownership: Lead the maintenance, bug fixing, and optimization of our native Android codebase, ensuring it follows modern industry standards.
- Cross-Platform Integration: Collaborate with our iOS native expert to ensure architectural consistency and feature parity between the Android and iOS platforms.
- Build & Release Management: Handle Android-specific configurations, including Gradle scripts, ProGuard, and managing the release process for the Google Play Store.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of professional experience with Kotlin and the Android SDK. Familiarity with Jetpack libraries and modern Android architecture.
- 1-2 years of experience building and shipping Flutter apps to production.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming (Futures and Streams).
- Proven ability to write native Android code (Kotlin/Java) and call it from Dart.
- Experience with at least one major Flutter state management library (e.g., Bloc, Riverpod, or Provider).
- Proficient with Git, Android Studio, and debugging tools for both native and Flutter environments.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Good time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
